Baseball season

We finally found our camera - under Rook's bed, complete with fingerprints all over the lens. Yes, it was incriminating evidence even though Rook maintains his innocence.

Speaking of Rook, here is a nice photo of him. He is throwing one of his fits of rebellion. I think the open mouth and crossed eyes are intended to intimidate the uninitiated and innocent. However, his parents have the lowdown on the open mouth and crossed eyes tactic and remain unfazed.

Below is a picture of Cannon and Rook subsequent to Rook's fit of rebellion - about a millisecond after Cannon threatened Rook with the "mother of all headlocks" if he didn't gain his composure. I guess Cannon didn't want any cross-eyed dudes with their tongues hanging out in his picture.

Ah yes, here is Cannon - I mean Batman - modeling the new Huffy batbike. It comes with a standard set of training wheels, but they are no longer needed as Batman can now cruise without training wheels. Now we just need to figure out a way to easily start and stop now that we have the middle part (cruising) mastered. Notice the circa 1975-1980 Batcape that was fashioned by Batman's Batgrandma for Batdad.

Baseball season is in full swing (heh heh) as you can see. Wynn is playing T-ball and seems to like it. Here he just swung at the ball and, thankfully, you can no longer see a ball on the top of the tee. Success! He does good as long as he remembers to turn left 90 degrees after touching each base.

Jett is doing pretty good at his baseball games. He is on a coach pitch team, although they actually use a pitching machine. Last night he was at bat three times and got hits all three times. Here he is heading home from third base.

Last night Jett played catcher for the first time. He did pretty good although he had a hard time getting used to the catcher's uniform. Three things to notice in this picture. First, notice the little puff of dirt at the feet of the lady in red. Next, notice the ball, which made the puff of dust, just to the side of his left leg. Lastly, notice the placement of his mitt. He is still learning.

This is a cool picture of Jett taking a swing at the ball, which you can see. I think this was his third hit out of three at bats.

A slew of new pictures

Before we got rid of cable.

Pregnant, barefeet, and in the kitchen. Two out of three isn't bad. I know she is barefoot because she hasn't worn shoes or socks for seven months.

Self explanatory.

Four fifths of our basketball team.

This was Sunday morning a few months ago. We gave the assignment to each of the kids to "go and get ready for church." This is how it turned out. Cannon has been hanging around his mother too much.

This is right before Cannon got into Superman. It was a big transition to make
from Batman (not).

Nothing better for keeping Rook calm and entertained than giving him my AC/DC CD.

Rook, among some of his favorite things. Popcorn, candy, birthday presents, Diego, etc.

Cannon, among some of his favorite things. Superman, birthday presents, Superman,
did I say Superman?

Teri's latest ultrasound pictures

These are a few pictures of Teri's latest ultrasound. They are a few weeks old. I just got around to scanning them.

It is definitely a boy. Just look for the arrow in the picture.

Here, the baby appears like he is laying on his back with his head to the left. His "booty" (that is for you Teri) is on the right and you can see his spine in the middle of the picture.

This is a nice shot of one of his arms. The elbow and fist are labeled. He is going to be a pugilist.

This is the best "face" shot we were able to capture. His chin and left eye are labeled. The right eye is in the big black spot.

The Boys...

We just adore Brak. He is the bomb.

I'm innocent. My hands are clean. Innocent until proven guilty.

Shake n' Bake.

Rook was funny when he got a Razor scooter for Christmas. He kept saying, "You know that Lance Armstrong guy? Wimp."

You are looking at a Razor A2 Kick Scooter, aircraft grade aluminum T-tube and deck, Wheelie bar, Patented rear fender brake, Patented folding mechanism, Enhanced finger guard, 98 mm inline style wheels...

A fine example of the Crane technique, an ancient Nebraskan technique handed down from the Karate Kid to father to son.

Christmas morning, right before we got the spatula out and threatened tanned hides for creating a pigsty.

Cannon in heaven with a aircraft grade aluminum Razor Scooter.

Teri's favorite pictures

Sorry, no new pictures until Rook tells us where he put the memory card to our digital camera. For now, the following pictures will have to suffice.

All I can say is look up Rom. 12: 10

When a taking nice cold, refreshing drink of our favorite beverage, we don't mess around. We get right to the task.

This year the price of turkey was way out of proportion with the increase in the cost of living. We deliberately placed bird feed out and lured our Thanksgiving feast into our yard.

This is Wynn, blatantly being taken advantage of by Makayla. She is obviously on the offensive. We made her and her parents move back to Utah.

Halloween from a few years ago. The costumes certaintly match the personalities, don't they?

Teri's ultrasound

Teri recently went in for an ultrasound. This is a picture of the results of that ultrasound. The baby is in the middle with its head pointing down and left. I think this was at about 9 weeks. It's cute, isn't it?

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Jett and Wynn were in the bathtub the other day and Jett said he was going to go pee. Then Jett thought he would be funny and said, "Wynn, I am going to pee on you." (Luckily for him he didn't) While Wynn was getting out of the tub he looked at me and said, "Mom, I know why Jett didn't pee on me...It is because he loves me."

The other day we were riding in the van and Wynn was getting philosophical and said, "Mom it goes, baby-boy-teenager-adult-grandma and grandpa-then dead."

Thanksgiving Eve Week

This post is devoted 8/9 to Wynn and his dance lessons. This is because Krystal requested pictures of Wynn dancing. This first picture is of Wynn at dance lessons. He is crying because Dasia, the girl in the background, stole his heart. Actually, it is Jett's girlfriend. Wynn is sad she is not one of his.
We got a new puppy. Good thing he likes the cheap cold cereal. Keeps the costs down.

This is Wynn strutting his Super Santa moves. Showing everybody what to do. Oh yeah.

This is Super Santa just after having a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader. Except he isn't as good as Luke Skywalker. Super Santa lost both of his hands, and Luke only lost one.

The true form of a tapdancing fool. Even notice the rolled-up pants. Nothin' like the shim sham shimmy.

Super Santa is holding up his hat. (Commentary by Wynn).

Practicing for the Christmas Dance recital coming up in a few weeks.

Wynn's first fight with Jett's girlfriend, Dasia. She won. The onlookers never even saw it happen.

An excellent example of fifth position.

Sweet Basketball Moves

Most of these pictures are self explanatory. Here Wynn is valiantly standing in wing position, and Jett is guarding his man.
This is probably the best picture of the bunch. Jett and Wynn are both in this picture. Notice the direction everybody is running. Next, notice Wynn doing a version of the moonwalk. Hmmm.
Wynn does get in there and do the job, although his dribbling skills could be refined a little. He bounced the ball all the way to the other side of the court. And then off the court.
Jett's opportunity to take the ball down the court. He did a great job.
Jett simultaneously taking the ball to the basket and losing control of the ball. It's a good thing those Keller kids have brains and looks, and in the case of Wynn, charisma and charm.
Jett, just before he learned you have to pass the ball in and can't start just by dribbling the ball.
Wynn, at the exact moment he figured out it is easier to just run with the ball sometimes.
